Welcome to Episode 37 of Learn Spanish 5 Minutes per Day in 100 Days!
In this episode, we will dive into the future tense in Spanish. The future tense allows us to talk about actions and events that will happen in the future. Let's explore how to express the future in Spanish!
tiempo futuro.
Future Tense.
Repeat: tiempo futuro.
The future tense is used to talk about actions or events that will occur after the present moment. To form the future tense, we usually use the verb ir (to go) followed by the infinitive form of the main verb.
Let's take a look at some examples:
Voy a estudiar español.
I am going to study Spanish
Repeat: Voy a estudiar español.
Here, voy a is the conjugation of the verb ir in the present tense, and estudiar is the infinitive form of the verb to study.
Another example:
Mañana vamos a viajar.
Tomorrow we are going to travel
Repeat: Mañana vamos a viajar.
Here, vamos a is the conjugation of the verb ir in the present tense, and viajar is the infinitive form of the verb to travel.
Remember, when using the future tense, the conjugation of the verb ir changes based on the subject of the sentence.
voy
I go
Repeat: voy
vas
you go.
Repeat: vas
va
he she goes
Repeat: va
vamos

Repeat: vamos
vais
