Welcome to Episode 47 of Learn Spanish 5 Minutes per Day in 100 Days!
In this episode, we will explore the conditional tense in Spanish. The conditional tense is used to express hypothetical or unreal situations. Let's get started!
Tiempo condicional.
Conditional tense.
Repeat: Tiempo condicional.
The conditional tense is formed by adding specific endings to the infinitive form of the verb. Let's see how it works:
For regular -ar verbs, replace the -ar ending with the conditional endings.
For example, the verb hablar (to speak) becomes hablaría (I would speak).
Repeat: hablaría.
For regular -er and -ir verbs, replace the -er or -ir ending with the conditional endings.
For example, the verb comer (to eat) becomes comería (I would eat),
and the verb vivir (to live) becomes viviría (I would live).
Repeat: comería y viviría.
The conditional tense is also used to express polite requests or give advice. It adds a sense of politeness and softens the tone of the request or advice.
Practice forming sentences using the conditional tense to express hypothetical situations or make polite requests. It will help you enhance your communication skills in Spanish.
